Terms of use

By creating an account or using Meet Local Dogs, you agree to these terms and the Community Guidelines.

The service

MLD is a pilot platform that helps adult dog owners discover profiles, communicate, arrange playdates, view moderated Community information, and contact independent Doghouse hosts. MLD does not itself provide animal care, veterinary services, transportation, training, therapy-dog certification, or emergency services.

Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree.
• Provide accurate information, protect your account, and update information that changes.
• Do not impersonate others, create deceptive profiles, or use MLD unlawfully.

Your responsibility for dogs and meetings

You are solely responsible for evaluating people, dogs, locations, and arrangements. Dogs can behave unpredictably and interactions involve risk.

• Disclose material temperament, reactivity, bite-history, health, vaccination, handling, and care information.
• Use appropriate restraint and supervision, follow applicable rules, and begin introductions cautiously.
• Leave or end any interaction you believe is unsafe.

Doghouse

Doghouse is a moderated directory and inquiry tool for independent hosts. Listings, photographs, ratings, and moderation decisions are not inspections, certifications, endorsements, insurance policies, or guarantees. Hosts and owners make private arrangements and remain responsible for supervision, facilities, pricing, payment, cancellations, veterinary care, insurance, taxes, and legal compliance.

Community activities and visits with dogs

Community tools help members learn about activities. Interested or Going is not admission, registration, approval, or a guarantee. Visits require organizer and facility coordination. Unless expressly stated, participating dogs are friendly community visitors—not certified therapy or service animals.

Content and conduct

You retain ownership of submitted content while granting MLD permission to host, display, process, moderate, and distribute it as needed to operate and improve the service. Do not submit unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, threatening, hateful, exploitative, privacy-invasive, or dangerously misleading content.

Reports, moderation, and emergencies

MLD may review reports and content but cannot verify every member, dog, listing, message, or offline interaction. MLD is not an emergency service. Contact emergency services, law enforcement, animal control, or a veterinarian when appropriate.

No warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the pilot is provided “as is” and “as available.” MLD does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, accurate member statements, compatibility, safety, availability, or any particular outcome.

Limitation of responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Hannah Ventures LLC and MLD are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or losses arising from independent users, animals, meetings, activities, Doghouse arrangements, or conduct outside MLD’s reasonable control.

Ending use, changes, and law

You may stop using MLD or delete your account. MLD may change, pause, or discontinue pilot features and update these terms. These terms are governed by New Hampshire law, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
